Do The Bunny Hop

Hope everyone had a fantastic Easter. Southridge was pretty quiet this weekend with the exception of a report we received about Bandit Gang lurking around on Saturday night. More on that later. We also ventured out on Thursday night to sing karaoke at the Oasis, which was a blast. Jeff did his best “I’m Too Sexy” again, the girls performed “Man I Feel Like A Woman” while Tim & Jeff were “East Bound & Down.” Anyway, not a lot to report in Southridge this week, so I thought I’d tell you about our Easter weekend.

We headed out Saturday afternoon for my brother Brandon’s house. They live near Canyon Lake and we had to be in Kingsland Sunday at my other brother’s house for Easter with the family. So we decided to stay the night in Canyon Lake to visit with Brandon & Debbie and so we didn’t have to drive so far Sunday morning

There are so many deer out there! At one point there had to have been thirty in his neighbor’s yard. The deer have been being fed for so long that they are real laid back around people. So I walked right up and was able to feed them out of my hand. I even got to pet a few. They are so sweet; I could have stayed there for hours petting them. Of course they were probably trying to figure out who the crazy lady was who kept talking to them in a baby voice. Then meanie Jeff made me leave. Guess he wanted to hurry & get home so he could watch Big Brother.

On Sunday we got to Brian’s house in Kingsland and had dinner with my parents, my brothers, and their wives. Everything was great, particularly Debbie’s pie. You did a great job Debbie, proud of you! Brian decided to cook shrimp and flounder instead of the normal Easter chow. Good decision, love seafood. Brian has ducks and they are really cute, but not so tame. Jessica tried to pet them, but it didn’t work out.

When we got home Sunday evening a crowd had grown near our house to examine the spectacle created by the Bandit Gang on Saturday night. A rainbow flag was attached to the Chicoine chimney by straps and bungee cord. No telling how much time this must have taken the gang, but it just goes to show that they are willing to risk anything to sabotage our neighborhood.

Have a great week & keep a look out for those sneaky little Bandits!
