This weekend was pretty interesting in Southridge. A big congrats to the Juan & Sonya for winning this segment of our “Biggest Loser” competition. We’ll get you next time though. (If only I wouldn’t have had that stupid taco for lunch!)Even though Friday night everyone had the yawns and called it a night early, Saturday more than made up for the lost time.
Saturday was a really beautiful day for a bar-b-que so everyone gathered down at the Carpenter Cavern for some food, friends, and music. By the way Sonya loved the beans and great job on the ribs guys. We also viewed the “Southridge Society” DVD with the bad to the bone projector, hope everyone enjoyed it and doesn’t hate me too much for some of the photos that made their way onto it. I hope that the picture of me after the Wild Game Dinner made up for it. We even had our own commentary to go with the DVD complements of Tim. By the way, “I’m drunk” does not apply to every picture of one of the Southridge Society board member who shall remain nameless.
I think Lee & Sherry may have left a little too early, as you can see from the photos below. We should have known things were going south when the guys decided they needed to know who could dangle upside down on the pole the best. The girls soon got into the action and although the girls looked better, it was apparent that the guys were way more enthusiastic about it. Our boys even brought out the book of pole positions to make sure they had the technique correct. I think the pictures will speak for themselves, no further explanation necessary.
On second thought, maybe Lee & Sherry will be happy they left when they did. I had a great time and I’m really looking forward to this summer! Have a great week Southridgians and friends!
