First off I hope Tim and Terri had a fabulous anniversary at The Oasis, even though most Southridgians were too lazy to get their butt to the bar! Tim, Terri, Jeff, & I sang all our same ol songs in about the same ol order. We really need to try some new songs people. I hate to say it, but I’m even getting a little tired of hearing Jeff sing about how sexy he is. Need to find him a new song that people will still give him money for performing. I need to put that boy out on the corner with a monkey, an accordion, and an aluminum can. I did enjoy singing duets with him though. We performed our standard “Picture” by Sheryl Crow and Kid Rock then attempted “Summer Nights” off the Grease soundtrack. Awwww! We are so freakin cute!! It was a great night and we had great fun, although Harvey may never let us back in The Oasis with a camera in our hands.

On Friday night Jourdanton had its annual “Meet The Coaches” enchilada dinner and all three cheerleading squads performed. The varsity squad opened the night with a pom pom light show. All lights were turned off while they stomped out a tribal war chant with their feet and fiber optic pom poms. It looked really great!!! I wish the pictures would have turned out, but it was really dark. The squads all did a great job and we are very proud of our girl.
Once we got back to Southridge we joined everyone down at Club Carpenter. We didn’t get to stay long, but at least we can say we showed up. Not like some people we know (Teresa) that can’t even come to the Oasis for five minutes for one of your best friend’s anniversary. Their fifteenth anniversary!!! The shame!!!
Saturday Jeff, Jessica, and I braved the crowds at the outlet mall in San Marcos so we could finish up with school shopping. I really hate shopping, I know you’ve all heard me say that, but I really really really hate shopping!!! On the way back into San Antonio it was raining so hard we were only going about 30 mph on interstate 35. I haven’t seen rain like that in awhile, but we managed to bravely push forward with only one thought in our heads, “Our reservation at PF Changs is at 7:00 PM and we can’t be late!!”
We got back into town and half of Southridge had already left for the Pleasanton Homecoming dance. We weren’t able to go so I hope those that partook in the festivities won’t be too scared to post. Here are some pictures that Terri took while they were there. The guy with the same shirt on as Lee is Hank Moon from The Outlaw 92.5 FM. Nice bull Janie!!

Kelly, James, Juan, Sonya, Ed, and Toni joined us in the garage to watch the new Harold & Kumar movie (I can’t believe Neil Patrick Harris was killed by a hooker! We love ya man!!) and a scary movie called “The Ruins” while we waited for the rest of our posse to show up. Let me start by saying that I always try to make the kids as happy as possible when they are at our house, because we don’t have a lot of toys and stuff. So I give them candy and cupcakes. Apparently this is not a good thing for hyper children who you don’t want jumping on the furniture. My bad. More on this in a minute, my ribs are still hurting from laughing so hard.

We were all reunited around 1:30 am. Thanks for trying to get our burritos; I hope the jackass that bought every last one from Pico’s is real proud of himself! Things were pretty calm until James decided to do his impression of Randall on sugar. We were laughing so hard, I’m sure they must have heard us in Poteet. He was running back and forth in the garage with his shirt over his head yelling, “Shannon Shannon Shannon, can I have some more cupcake please please please? My mama my mama my mama said it was okay, please please please, Shannon Shannon Shannon.” Which is pretty much what Randall was doing a couple of hours earlier. Thanks James, that was hilarious. We are getting pretty good at these impressions. The rest of the pictures are self explanatory.
