Go Indians!!

This week was Jourdanton’s Homecoming. Festivities kicked off on Wednesday with a parade planned by Jeff and the Athletic Booster Club. It started at the courthouse, marched along Hwy 16, and ended at the football stadium where a town pep rally took place. Everyone put a lot of work into all the activities and we had a great time. The coolest thing about the rally was all the motorcycles that were driven onto the field during the senior mom’s skit. The sound echoed through the stadium and I’m sure could be heard around town. Friday we went to the school pep rally, then to the game to watch the Indians show Woodsboro how it’s done. It was a great game and I’m so proud that my girl was a part of it all. We got to see a lot of old friends and are really proud of our football players.
After the game, Jeff & I headed to the Oasis to meet up with Terri, Tim, Teresa, and Gary. We were happy to hear this week that Harvey had decided to have karaoke on Friday night. We always have such a blast singing at the O, but it is so difficult to get there on Thursday nights since everyone has to work on Friday. Well, almost everyone. Things were just getting rowdy when we arrived. We quickly got a song book and started writing our selections down. We sang some of our favorites like “Goodbye Earl” and Jeff’s notorious “I’m Too Sexy” along with a few we’ve never attempted before. Terri and I gave “Delta Dawn” a try as well as a group effort on “You Never Even Call Me By My Name.” Jeff took full advantage of the people who had never seen his act before, I think he made like $10, but lost most of it. I can’t figure out why he says he hates to perform this song, just look at his face, he is eating the attention up.

After coming back to Southridge we discovered Kelly and James had made their way over to a party at Edward Benevides house. So we jumped in the Jeep and away we went. Tim and Terri didn’t stay long and we probably shouldn’t have either. Shannon likes her beauty sleep and needs as much as possible. We had a great time though and hope to see more of the buddies we got to see this weekend.
The Bandit, after a long rest was spotted in Southridge this weekend. Teresa’s Yard of The Month (Honorable Mention) was disrespectful placed in Ms. Sisk’s yard as if to taunt poor Teresa. We hope such terrible activities do not continue and hope the Bandit Gang can find a way to control themselves.

Jillian’s birthday party seemed to be a success. At one point I answered the door and little Delanee stood there talking a mile a minute, “We’re havin Jillian’s birthday party and we’re doin a scavenger hunt and we have a list and we need some stuff from you if you have it and we need a magazine and a q-tip and some post it notes and let me look at my list again.” She is too cute! The girls also had a Jillian Parade around the neighborhood in their boas and a big banner. Hope you a great time Jillian!
This week is my best friend’s birthday, so happy birthday Jodi. Hope you have a fabulous day and can stretch it out all week. I love ya!

Had a fun time Friday night! Don't know about those damn songs, but oh well. THANKS HARVEY for having it on Friday night, maybe we can do it on Saturday night next time, hint hint! Good job on the blog Shannon!

Just to advise Teresa we let those "PEOPLE" that messed with your sign know you actually did your own yard on Sunday.
