Better Late Than Never

Last week I took a break from posting on the blog because well, I was being lazy. I had way too many houses, malls, and vacation hideaways to be built on my Sims game and so precious little time.

So this week is your weekly update times two. I know how excited you all are! So here it is..........

ON Friday the 7th of November the Indians lost to Dilley which officially ended our season. We played hard, but that last game looked like we just handed the game over. After the game Teresa and Gary stopped by for awhile, but Southridge was pretty quiet. As in hearing crickets squeaking their legs together quiet. Why all the peace and silence you ask? The Carpenters decided to leave Southridge for the weekend and head to Southridge Gulf Edition to visit Keith and Amy. Thanks for inviting us by the way.

Terri brought home some great pictures of their trip. As you can see the Flaming Dr Peppers were quite popular that night. I guess hanging things out of your pants seemed pretty cool too. Don’t worry guys, I completely get it. After all I’ve been married to Jeff for ten years. Just one question though. Why does it look like Terri is drinking battery acid?

The next day the Southridge Gulf Edition and visitors headed to the Corpus Christi Aquarium. It looks like they had a great time and got some fabulous pictures, but why is it they have to seek out the one gay fish in the entire aquarium? Again, thanks for the invite guys.

MEANWHILE, back in the real Southridge everyone was getting ready for Rose’s birthday party at Juan and Sonya’s house. The ladies started a card game while the guys stole some of Tim’s wood (teach you to leave town) to make a fire. Everyone was having a fabulous time until we heard the unmistakable sound of that black Trans Am.
Surveillance footage shows the Bandit Gang once again with their Gay Pride flag atop the Carpenter’s home. This gang has a knack for knowing when someone is away from Southridge. Several Barack Obama campaign signs were in the Carpenter’s yard along with OBAMA written in large letters across their garage, and a large “I love Obama” sign on their mailbox. The gang must have been in a hurry this time; this was their first time to ever leave evidence behind. If you’ll notice in the photo of the mailbox there is a large cup with an alcoholic beverage inside it. Tests are being performed on the straw for DNA as well as research to compose a criminal profile on citizens who drink Jim Beam and Diet Coke. Tim has also entered therapy to help him get over the sight of Obama signs in his yard. His therapist says he is making wonderful progress.

The week was pretty quiet, other than having a fabulous day with my BFF Jodi. Nothing like shopping for underwear to cheer you up, thanks Jodi! I couldn’t wait for the weekend; I really really wanted to go to the Oasis. After hanging around down at Tim and Terri’s for awhile, we headed to the O. It’s always great to see Harvey and Betty and hang out at our “Official Bar of Southridge.” Clint Powell, his baby brother Keith, Darrell Garza, and Robert Poth showed up a short time later, just in time for closing. Clint, Darrell, and Robert followed us back to Southridge where Jeff decided to model Clint’s new poncho. It’s the new “it” accessory according to Clint. It was great to see the guys and hope they come around more often.

Thanks to Southridge Society board members Jeff & Tim we no longer have to tell people to turn next to Tim Swan’s Auto Dealership as directions to the subdivision. We now have a fabulous sign for our fabulous subdivision. Thanks Guys!!

This week we will be celebrating three things in Southridge. #1 Kelly Benton’s birthday. #2 Shelbie Carpenter’s birthday. #3 Several of the guys will be gone to the Cowboys game this weekend leaving their wives alone so we can spend some time at the “library.” Be careful guys, we’ll miss you…..hahahahahahahahaha.
