Not Very Inspired

So the blog has been sort of sporadic the past couple of months, yes I know. I haven’t had much inspiration though. There haven’t been but a couple of bandit sightings all winter, everyone has forgotten the poor pole, and seems like all my rowdy friends have settled down. I mean come on people, give me something to work with here. I have actually posted pictures of an armadillo, what the ****? Maybe all this has something to do with James being out of town for so long. Maybe he is the one that triggers the rest of us.

Recently Southridge has been visited by a family of armadillos who live in the field behind our house. We first spotted Army Dillo about a month ago. He was really cute and had pretty marking on his tail like a raccoon. He dug around our yard, sniffing for food I guess. He scared the bugeesies out of Terri and confused our dog. Quincy ain’t never seen a dog like that and he wasn’t sure if it wanted to play. I’m happy now that it was an armadillo instead of a skunk. The pictures, courtesy of Sheblie, are of Arm A Diller, husband of Arma Diller, who is the cousin of Army Dillo. Cute rear end huh?
On February 7th the gang got together to watch the Budweiser Shootout. It’s the first NASCAR race of the season, but doesn’t count for points, and is shorter than most races. It’s perfect for people who don’t watch NASCAR and are being forced to watch by their friends. We all picked a driver (some of us picked several before deciding on one) and put in a dollar each. As you can see, as always, I picked my darling Dale Jr. For some reason Jeff did not pick the driver, Kevin Harvick, who he always picks. Instead he went with Jimmie Johnson. Although I don’t like Johnson much, he’s always a contender, and as such a good pick. Jess went with Kasey Kahne (more about his looks than racing ability) Terri picked Jeff Gordon, Tim picked Carl Edwards, Shelbie chose Denny Hamlin, Gary (GAK) picked dumbass Kyle Busch, Teresa picked Tony Stewart (after five other drivers), and Kelly picked Bobby Labonte. Whoever’s driver had the best finishing position would win the pot. It was an exciting race and I was optimistic that I would have extra juke box money latter cause Jr was fast! Kevin Harvick won and there was a last lap crash and we all scrambled to figure out whose driver crossed the finish line first. To make a long story short, the person that knows and cares the least about NASCAR won the $9. Congrats Teresa, even though technically you should have gave me half since I told you who to pick.

Anyway, it’s going to be good to see Keith and Amy this weekend. I’m hoping they give me some good stuff to use on the blog. Is anyone going out of town this weekend? We’ll be happy to “watch” your house.

Don’t forget that the Sizemore wedding and the Wild Game Dinner is on the 28th. Have a great week. Would someone please do something stupid so I can take pictures and post them to the World Wide Web?
