Happy Birthday Cam and Congrats Tim & Terri

Today is Cameron’s birthday and we’d all love to send out a big happy birthday to our future President of the United States. (Hey if Obama can do, anyone can.) Also Terri has given me the distinct honor of announcing to the world that she & Tim are expecting. She just went to the doctor this morning and found out. We are so very happy for them and wish them the best. She is due December 5th so I will be contacting all of you for a huge baby shower. I’m so excited for yall, congratulations.
As you can tell, I haven’t updated the blog in awhile. (Or you non posting SOBs might not notice.) I’m going to start back about two weeks ago when the gang met up at the Oasis for Thursday night karaoke. I’m thinking maybe Kelly didn’t get the girl’s memo about having to wear some sort of animal print that night. It was so good to have James back in town, we love ya buddy. We also found a new friend that night and if she is reading this, we are sorry we forced you to sing with us. We promise never to accost you again. We are planning to go back to the Oasis for karaoke on next Thursday, April 9th. We hope to see everyone there, let’s make it a huge Southridge crowd!

On the following Saturday Jeff, Jess, and I headed to Choke Canyon for a fishing tournament the Lion’s Club was hosting. Oh, and we had a little guy friend of hers with us too, but I don’t want to talk about that. As you can see Jessica drove (MY CAR) us all the way to Choke Canyon and only scared the s*** out of us like five times. Hey, her average is getting better. Tim, Terri, the kids, and the dogs showed up awhile later to enjoy the beautiful day. As you can see I caught the biggest fish of the day, well except for the record breaking fifteen pound bass that won the tournament. If you’re wondering exactly what the heck that is on Cam’s head, it is a glowing green worm. Yes, I know ewwwwwww, but boys will be boys. This is why guys have to kill spiders and girls don’t, at sometime every guy has had a worm on their head.

This week was really kinda laid back except for a small trip to the O on Friday night. It was fun, but I forgot my camera so no use in talking about it.
On Saturday Jeff & I drove to Fort Worth for the State Farm Banquet, which was conveniently held at the hotel directly across from Texas Motor Speedway. Too bad it was a week before the race! On the way to Fort Worth Jeff got stopped going 75 in a 65, but the cop only gave him a ticket for going 70 in a 65. Guess the cop knew the punishment he would get from me would be much worse than anything a fine could do.
After the banquet Lillian and Tommy had some cocktails with Jeff & I in our room while we entertained ourselves by sending short videos via my Dell Webcam. Terri and Janie got an eye full Saturday night and I hope they were truly entertained.

Hope everyone has a great week and weekend. We will be with my crazy family at our reunion, I’m so excited! For everyone who is going out to the Strawberry Festival, please be careful and have a great time! Don’t forget to get up to the Oasis next Thursday night (April 9th) for karaoke. Also don’t forget to sign up to be a sponsor for the crawfish boil as soon as possible. We need to start getting a count of who is participating and what supplies we need. Last but not least, don’t forget about Chalk Bluff people! If you haven’t made your reservation yet, do it NOW!!
Oh by the way, April Fools! Terri is NOT preggers. Just kidding. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

No I didn't get the memo about the shirts and James didn't get one about the camo shorts.
