The Show Must Go On

On Saturday, May 16th Southridge had their 5th Annual Crawfish Boil and despite the pouring rain we got during the day it was a great turnout. First I’d like to thank all of our wonderful sponsors who make the Crawfish Boil possible. I hope you all had a fabulous time. A list of all our “Suckers” can be found further below. Thanks again! The second thing I’d like to say is that if I never hear the snake story found on hole #2 ever again, it will be too soon. If you look (very closely, might wanna get a magnify glass) you’ll see a scratch on James’s leg below. Now the way I heard it (as well as everyone the boys saw that weekend) the boys were playing golf on the Southridge Course when Eugene told James he was stepping on a snake. Now about the time the word “snake” left Eugene’s lips, the snake snapped up and took a bite of James. Here comes the funny part according to Jeff. At the same time the snake was letting go, James was screaming in a higher pitch sort of Homer Simpson voice, “Was it a rattler?” About that time all the guys fell to the ground laughing at James’s little rat snake. Aren’t you glad you’ve heard the story now?

The guys did a great job cooking everything. We even got some smoked crawfish which were fabulous! Yummy yummy to my tummy, well the three that I actually ate.

We also had our first karaoke contest and let me tell you it was a heated battle. Our first contest came down to Brock and Big Shelby, with Shelby bringing home the win. Good job kiddos! All of you were great! In our next contest the guys battled it out with Curtis and Keith in the finals. Curtis won the prize though. (Gary said it was rigged) Did I forget anything? Oh yeah, Terri won the woman’s contest. Blah Blah Blah Blah. Just kidding. Congrats Terri, you deserved it you hot mama!

I just want to say that I feel so very blessed to have such great friend and great times. Thank all of you for being a part of my life.
